I quite often photograph my work-in-progress, usually 6 or 8 photos, just to keep track of how they progressed
They are not done to be used as a how-to guide, but merely a record of a certain stage of the work.
This painting was created on a canvas that I sprayed with a flat black acrylic. The sketch was done using a white watercolor pencil. The acrylic paint I used was Createx Wicked Detail and Createx Opaque. The airbrush was a Paasche Talon.

Completed.. Background is re-rendered - the log is now detailed - the lights and shadows are added.
Some of the minute details were done using a  tiny 00000 sable brush
